Game Overview The NCAA Bracket Challenge allows Participants to compete in a bracket game during the 2007 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament. The game will keep track of the Participants’ brackets, their scores, and the game's overall standings. It is a public league, and all Participants will play under the same rules. Leagues Joining a League When you join the Coke Zero NCAA Bracket Challenge, you will be placed in a league along with the other Participants in the game. Participants may begin filling out their bracket immediately. Participants cannot create their own league in NCAA Bracket Challenge. Participants can create their own league in NCAA Bracket Challenge. Those who are interested in a private league with only their friends and family, can run their own pool using Bracket Software. Making Picks Once the bracket for the NCAA Tournament games has been announced on March 11, 2007, Participants are able to start making their picks. A prediction of the winner must be made for each of the 64 games by advancing the team Participants think will win each game to the next round of the tournament—until they have predicted their National Champion. Participants may select only one winner per event. Participants may also choose to auto fill their entire bracket from a set of pre-selected experts' picks. Participants may change their predictions any time between March 11, when the bracket is announced, and March 15, one hour prior to tipoff of the Tournament’s first game. In addition, Participants must predict the total points scored by both teams in the National Championship game. This prediction has significance in the event of a tie. If, for any reason, an event is postponed or cancelled, Participants will not receive credit for that event. Schedule The 2007 Men’s Basketball Tournament bracket is announced on Sunday, March 11. At that point, NCAA Bracket Challenge will be open for registration and game play. From then until March 15, when the first round of the tournament begins, you will be able to fill out your bracket and make changes to it. You will be unable to make changes after the tournament begins, but you will be able to follow your bracket and picks until April 2 when the National Championship takes place. 3/11 NCAA Tournament bracket is announced 3/11-3/15 Participants join leagues and fill out their brackets; changes allowed 3/15 Game locks prior to Tournament's first game; no changes allowed 3/15-3/16 First Round of NCAA Tournament 3/17-3/18 Second Round of NCAA Tournament 3/22-3/23 Third Round of NCAA Tournament (Sweet 16) 3/24-3/25 Fourth Round of NCAA Tournament (Elite 8) 3/31 National Semifinals (Final 4) 4/2 National Championship Scoring For each correct prediction in their bracket, the Participant will be awarded points. The number of points awarded will increase as the tournament progresses as follows: 1 (one) point for each correct prediction in the first round 2 (two) points for each correct prediction in the second round 4 (four) points for each correct prediction in the third round 8 (eight) points for each correct prediction in the fourth round 16 (sixteen) points for each correct prediction in the fifth round 32 (thirty-two) points for each correct prediction in the sixth round 0 (zero) points for each incorrect pick or tie. A "correct prediction" occurs when Participants correctly predict the team that advances into the ensuing round. The Participant does not have to accurately predict the team that the winner defeats in that game, as long as they have accurately predicted the winner that advances to the next round. For any Contest Segment in which a Participant fails to submit an entry, he/she will receive zero points.
